Orange Centrafrique launched commercial mobile services on 6 December 2007, entering the market as the country's fourth mobile network operator. It grew quickly, overtaking rivals to become the second-largest operator by the end of 2012, and today holds roughly 60% of the Central African Republic's mobile market, the largest share of any operator in the country. Orange Centrafrique is a subsidiary of French telecom group Orange S.A. and received its 4G license in November 2024.
