Expresso Senegal is run by Sudatel, a Sudanese telecom operator that won Senegal's third mobile license in 2007 and launched commercial service in January 2009. It started out on CDMA technology before adding a GSM network in 2010, becoming the first operator to bring 3G service to Senegal.
